THE ROLE
The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while driving strategic growth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will manage accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow optimization. Additionally, they will support market expansion initiatives and analyze cryptocurrency ATM performance. As a key leader, the Director will build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. This role requires a strong mix of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to support the company’s long-term success
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Financial Operations

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations and reports are completed accurately and on time and adhering to regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Optimize cash flow management to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce manual tasks.
  • Coordinate external audits and prepare all required documentation for tax filings and compliance audits.

Financial Planning

  • Support quarterly and annual financial planning process including budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long term planning.
  • In collaboration with senior leadership establish ambitious financial and strategic goals for long and short term success.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Support expansion initiatives, including market entry into new regions and the launch of new financial products.
  • Analyze the financial performance of cryptocurrency ATMs and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Partner with external and internal parties to enhance financial systems and processes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team to support the company’s growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the finance department.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and other statutory obligations.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to navigate the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency transactions.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

Education & Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Controller or similar leadership role,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with finance industry software including Microsoft Business Central, Prophix, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and a wizard with Excel.
  • Experience handling accounting operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards

Nice to have

  • Experience with Jira for financial project management, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
