As the Director of Financial & Sustainability Reporting, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation and communication of financial information and sustainability metrics for internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a combination of financial expertise, sustainability knowledge, and excellent communication skills to drive accurate and transparent reporting aligned with organizational goals.

This role is for a maternity leave coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to provide insights into financial performance and trends.
  • Sustainability Reporting:
    • Develop and manage the organization's sustainability reporting framework, aligning with recognized standards such as GRI, SASB, or other relevant frameworks.
    • Collect and analyze sustainability data from various business units, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sustainability initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Integrated Reporting:
    • Integrate financial and sustainability reporting to provide a comprehensive view of the organization's performance.
    • Develop narratives that articulate the connection between financial and sustainability metrics to enhance stakeholder understanding.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate financial and sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, regulatory bodies, and sustainability rating agencies.
    • Address inquiries and requests for information related to financial and sustainability reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of changes in financial and sustainability reporting regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance with evolving standards.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address reporting requirements.
  • Process Enhancement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial and sustainability reporting processes.
    • Implement best practices and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop a team of professionals responsible for financial and sustainability reporting.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Sustainability, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, GRI) are advantageous.
  • Substantial experience in financial reporting, sustainability reporting, or a combination of both.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial and sustainability reporting.
