Role Overview:

Could you be our next Director, Personnel Security? Globe Life is looking for a Director, Personnel Security to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s security strategy to protect employees, assets, operations, and information. This role oversees physical security, Executive Protection, Event Security, access control, risk management, security technology, emergency preparedness, and incident response across all corporate locations. The Director serves as the primary liaison with internal leadership, external agencies, and third-party security partners.

This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate security strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Establish and maintain security policies, protocols, and standards.

Operational Security Management

  • Oversee daily security operations, including physical security, Executive Protection, Event Security, surveillance, and access control.
  • Lead the investigation of security incidents, threats, and breaches; coordinate corrective action and reporting.
  • Manage business continuity and emergency response plans, ensuring organizational readiness.
  • Direct the vetting, onboarding, and performance of security personnel and contract security teams.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry security regulations and standards.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and corporate reporting.
  • Conduct site security evaluations and ensure proper security measures are implemented.

Technology & Systems Oversight

  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security technologies (CCTV, alarms, access systems, visitor management platforms).
  • Evaluate and implement new security solutions to enhance organizational safety and efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with HR, Legal, IT, Facilities, and Operations leadership on risk management and security initiatives.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Provide security-related training and awareness programs for employees.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Develop and oversee the corporate security budget.
  • Manage vendor contracts, services, and performance metrics to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–12+ years of progressive security leadership experience, ideally within corporate, manufacturing, logistics, or multi-site environments.
  • Experience in corporate, healthcare, retail, or industrial security.
  • Familiarity with incident reporting software and workplace safety protocols.
  • Experience with security technologies and systems management.
  • On-site role with rotating schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, depending on facility layout.
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency management, and risk mitigation best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis-management skills.
