Be the champion for Small Businesses at WEX!

We are seeking a focused and inspirational leader to define & drive strategy and go-to-market execution for the Small Business segment at WEX. This is a unique opportunity and highly visible role for a seasoned leader to oversee one of the top strategic priorities for the Company. You will lead a team responsible for driving both tactical and transformative initiatives to deliver both near and long term P&L outcomes. Role scope includes : 1) Owning the commercial backlog of customer needs and driving product delivery / go to market roadmap in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, & Marketing , 2) Overseeing the investment optimization process and ensuring small business acquisition and customer management investments are allocated to highest ROI initiatives to maximize in-year performance and efficiency, and 3) Leading sales performance and transformation strategy including development of digital and tele-sales acquisition lead management innovation, onboarding automation, and incentive & compensation management.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Develop Winning Strategies: Set the agenda for the Small Business growth strategy, defining near/long term horizons, strategic roadmap, and delivery plan tied to P&L outcomes.

  • Operating mindset: Lead with a maniacal focus on customer needs and both legacy & insurgent competitors to inform Small Business strategy, while guiding and galvanizing the organization to rally around an externally driven focus to drive a winning culture at WEX

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage internal/external data and analytics sources to surface & size strategic opportunities, & optimize segment performance, productivity & efficiency

  • Unlocking Growth & Efficiency: Proactively identify and prioritize an ongoing backlog of products, features, investments and initiatives to accelerate revenue growth while driving efficiencies

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Set the standard that others will follow for collaborating effectively with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Risk Management, Customer Service, Digital Analytics, and other key departments to ensure seamless alignment and execution across in scope initiatives.

  • Empowering Your Team: Provide exceptional coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to maximize individual and team potential

  • Championing Change: Lead and influence cross-functional teams to embrace and adapt to new technologies, processes, and organizational ways of working to win in the marketplace

  • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in commercial / SMB (small and medium sized businesses) commercial leadership roles.
