This Position reports to:

Complex Proposals Leader
 

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the ELSB/ELSP Configuration & Quotation Sales Support Specialist in Central and Western Region.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.
  • Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
  • Managing the preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
  • Ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate delivery of proposals based on critical project submission deadlines through coordination with relevant stakeholders 
  • Contribute to an effective and positive customer relationship throughout the proposal process & Issue responses to RFI/RFQ's Collaborating through teamwork and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project execution  
  • Create, maintain, and follow up on project opportunities in Salesforce 

Qualifications for the role

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with proven technical and analytical competencies in the field.
  • You Immersed in and highly skilled in working with technical tools, proposal methodologies, and the electrical engineering sector.
  • Over 5 years of relevant industry / manufacturer experience, with a strong track record in formulating medium to complex proposals.
  • Possess strong knowledge of low voltage distribution systems and the ability to accurately interpret technical specifications and single-line diagrams.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and other CRM platforms (considered an asset).
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously in a collaborative, solution-focused, and detail-oriented manner.
  • Passionate about problem-solving, innovation, and clear technical communication within cross-functional teams.
