We have a number of Engineer in Training (EIT) positions available in various locations across the Province in the following engineering groups:
- Natural Gas Distribution Engineering
- Natural Gas Transmission Engineering
- Natural Gas Facilities Engineering
- Natural Gas Pipeline Integrity Engineering
- Natural Gas System Planning
- Natural Gas Asset Management
Engineer in Training are responsible for both the engineering and project management of a portfolio of natural gas pipeline, piping, or facility projects.
What You’ll Do:
Project Management
Be a Project Manager, developing and executing multiple projects for the construction, operation, and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and/or facilities.
Plan, budget, schedule, report, and ensure overall execution of the design, construction, commissioning, and close-out project phases.
Coordinate with a variety of internal teams (engineering, land, construction, operations, procurement, etc.) and external partners (consultants, contractors, vendors, etc.)
Contribute to the scope development and evaluation of projects during initiation
Ensure compliance with our company project management processes
Engineering
Responsible for project specific conceptual and detailed technical design, primarily in the areas of pipeline, piping, facilities, or integrity engineering
Ensure compliance with code and company specifications, material and equipment specifications, optimization of design for operations and construction, job plan development, and any associated engineering calculations
Develop and improve technical company specifications or processes
Act as technical resource to provide support to various internal groups
Complete engineering assessments
Manage various capital or operational programs.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation with APEGA
Class 5 driver’s license
Experience in project management, construction, and operations of distribution projects, or other related industries) is an asset
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Excellent time management, problem solving, decision making, organization and planning skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Energetic and enthusiastic
Highest level of integrity and ethics.
