Minimum Requirements:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate sciences or engineering program with an environmental, geoscience or policy focus

You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

Responsibilities:
-
Support various reclamation and closure projects, including literature search and reviews, coordination of people/ resources, enabling progress on annual program commitments and requirements

Enter, manage, analyze, and compile different types of wildlife, environment and regulatory data

Assist in producing standardized environmental reports (GHG and energy) that analyze historical and forecasted data
-
Update and assist in the creation of presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and flowcharts

Monitor and assess emerging environmental policies and regulations

Fort McMurray based roles may prepare samples for lab analysis, and co-ordinate field logistics, such as sample collection, shipping, equipment servicing, and materials supplies
Location & Other Key Details:

This is an 8, 12, or 16-month term commitment beginning in May 2025

Potential locations for these student roles include Calgary, St. John's, and Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo). You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application

Relocation support will be provided if required

Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote nature of the region
