Salary: $54,000 - $67,000 annually

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimate Reviewer to join our team in Canada. This position offers flexible work arrangements, including remote, hybrid, and in-office options.


As an Estimate Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of repair estimates submitted by our network contractors. Leveraging your restoration, construction, and estimating expertise, you will review estimates for technical accuracy, compliance with client and program requirements, and adherence to industry standards and best practices.


This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing repair scopes, validating estimate accuracy, and collaborating with contractors and claims professionals to achieve fair, accurate, and customer-focused claim outcomes.


You will serve as a trusted technical resource, working closely with contractors, Regional Managers, Claims Adjusters, and clients to support quality assurance initiatives and ensure estimates meet established standards.


Responsibilities
  • Review contractor repair estimates to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices. 

  • Evaluate repair scopes for completeness and identify discrepancies, including

·  Missing line items 

·  Scope gaps 

·  Incorrect quantities 

·  Inflated costs 

·  Inappropriate materials or material grades

 

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of estimate documentation, pricing, and supporting files. 

  • Review mitigation and drying documentation to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and accepted restoration practices. 

  • Compile and communicate estimate revision requests clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Collaborate with network contractors to obtain estimate revisions and resolve scope-related discrepancies. 

  • Perform secondary reviews of supplemental repair estimates and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and consistency. 

  • Manage multiple assignments and priorities within XactAnalysis Estimate Review queues. 

  • Maintain a strong understanding of client programs, contractor network requirements, and company guidelines. 

  • Communicate effectively with contractors, Claims Adjusters, Regional Managers, and clients regarding estimate review findings and claim activity. 

  • Apply objective and consistent review practices while maintaining positive and professional stakeholder relationships.

 

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property damage restoration, construction estimating, property claims adjusting, or disaster restoration and reconstruction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis is required, including experience writing, reviewing, and auditing estimates; creating and interpreting sketches; performing estimate quality reviews; and managing assignments and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of repair scoping, estimating principles, property damage restoration practices, and applicable IICRC standards and industry guidelines.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of property losses, including water, fire and smoke, sewage backup, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, wind and hail damage, water mitigation, structural drying, and interior and exterior repairs and reconstruction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry terminology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive, respectful, and professional feedback.
  • Professional, objective, and diplomatic approach to estimate review and decision-making.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and sound judgment in a continuously evolving environment.
