About Us

Metronome is the leading usage-based billing platform built for modern software companies. With Metronome, companies can launch products faster, offer any pricing model, and streamline finance workflows without writing code.

Our platform computes millions of invoices per billing period and is scaling rapidly to accommodate new customers, saving them hours of development time and manual invoicing and enabling them to use consumption data to better serve their customers. Our customers love our product and approach, and we’re humbled to work with amazing companies like OpenAI, Databricks, NVIDIA, Confluent, and Anthropic.

You'll be joining an experienced team that includes founders who have successfully built and sold startups before. Our founders and employees also have direct experience building and scaling teams through massive growth at companies like Dropbox, Clever, and New Relic. On the back of this experience and our success-to-date, we’ve raised over $128M from leading investors including NEA, Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Elad Gil, and Workday Ventures. We’re also proud to have founders and executives of companies like Segment, Plaid, Looker, Gitlab, Confluent, HashiCorp, and Snowflake, as investors who have experienced the pain we're solving firsthand.

About the Role

As Executive Assistant to our Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer, you’ll be the go-to force behind the scenes, making sure our leaders—and their teams—stay on track and in sync. You’ll manage complex calendars, prep for key meetings, and support day-to-day operations that keep R&D and Go-to-Market teams running smoothly. You’ll also help bring people together by coordinating team events and supporting planning for offsites.

This role is all about execution, organization, and creating space for our leaders to focus on the right stuff. You'll report directly to either the CPO or COO and collaborate with teams across the company.

This position is based in the Bay Area and requires 2–3 days a week in our San Francisco office, with occasional travel for onsites and offsites (roughly once per quarter). Relocation is not offered for this role.

What You'll Do
  • Manage fast-moving calendars and sensitive information with care—coordinating across internal teams and external partners
  • Attend meetings, taking notes, following up on action items, and helping to create decks
  • Book and coordinate travel (both domestic and international)
  • Team up with the CEO’s Executive Assistant to plan team events and offsites
  • Handle monthly expense reports and jump in on special projects as needed
  • Be a trusted representative of your execs—building strong relationships across the company and with external partners
Impact You'll Have
  • You will help your leaders stay focused on what matters most—protecting their time and prioritizing high-impact work over day-to-day fire drills
  • By supporting key execs, you will play a central role in shaping how our teams work and connect
  • With your visibility across the org, you will often be the first to spot what’s missing, what’s off track, or what needs attention before it becomes urgent
  • Our admin team is the glue that holds everything together—and you will be a critical part of it!
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an administrative or operational support role, ideally in a fast-paced tech environment
  • Strong calendar management chops—you know how to build a smart, flexible schedule and protect focus time where you can
  • Exceptionally organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Detail-oriented and reliable — you’re the kind of person people trust to catch what others might miss
  • Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure (you bring good vibes, even on busy days)
  • Discreet and trustworthy—you know how to handle sensitive information with care
  • Comfortable owning logistics for team events, internal meetings, and cross-functional coordination
  • Excellent communicator across email, Slack, and in person
  • Confident with Google Calendar, Gmail, Docs, and other standard tools
  • Aligned with our values— you take initiative, bring a “no job too small” mindset, and care about building a great team culture
Bonus points
  • Experience supporting executives in different departments
  • Project management experience
  • Event planning experience

The actual base salary will vary based on factors including market value, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process, and previous experience. The listed range above should serve as a guideline and may be modified at any time.

We believe that compensation reflects the expected impact you will have at the company, relative to the market value of your role. We also conduct an annual pay audit to ensure pay is fair, indexed to market value, and that pay takes into account continued performance at Metronome.
