EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS MANAGER TO CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Remilia Corporation — Orange County, CA

Remilia is a multidisciplinary art studio and lifestyle brand operating at the intersection of fashion, art, film, and social technology. We produce culture events with emerging artists globally and maintain operations across Orange County, Korea, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

We're looking for a sharp, sophisticated operator to be the Creative Director/CEO's primary interface — managing all communications, coordinating complex schedules across time zones, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. You'll be the person who makes everything run smoothly while maintaining the aesthetic and professional standards our work demands.

What you'll do:

Manage the CD/CEO's entire communication flow — email, messages, calls — triaging, drafting responses, and ensuring the right things get attention at the right time. You'll own the schedule completely, coordinating meetings across four cities and multiple time zones while protecting time for strategic work. You'll act as the first point of contact for artists, partners, and collaborators, representing the studio with polish and discretion.

Beyond logistics, you'll track priority deliverables across fashion, art, film, and music projects — following up with teams, flagging delays, and keeping the CD/CEO informed without them having to chase updates. When the CD/CEO is unavailable, you'll handle coordination independently and make judgment calls about what needs immediate attention.

You're the right person if you:

Have 4-7 years managing communications and operations for a founder, creative director, or senior executive — ideally in fashion, arts, luxury, or cultural institutions. You're fluent in professional protocols across Western and East Asian business contexts (Korean, Mandarin, or Japanese proficiency is a significant plus given our work in Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo).

You're a superb writer and communicator — your emails are polished, your tone adapts to context, and you know how to be firm or diplomatic as situations require. You have refined aesthetic sensibility and understand the experimental fashion/art world we operate in.

You're obsessively organized and detail-oriented, but strategic enough to prioritize ruthlessly. You see around corners, anticipate needs before being asked, and solve problems proactively. You're unflappable under pressure and comfortable with non-traditional schedules, international coordination, and occasional evening/weekend coverage for events.

Most importantly: you're someone who commands respect. You can hold boundaries with persistent contacts, push back on partners when needed, and represent the studio with authority and sophistication.

This role is NOT for you if:

You're looking for traditional EA work focused only on travel booking and calendar management. You need a structured 9-5 with clearly defined tasks. You're uncomfortable exercising judgment or providing constructive criticism. You prefer working at large corporate environments with established processes.

What we offer:

Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, generous PTO, lifestyle stipends, and Equinox membership. Direct access to the CEO and autonomy to build systems in a fast-growing startup. Exposure to a global network of emerging artists and cultural events.

Location: Full-time, on-site at our Irvine, CA headquarters. Occasional evenings/weekends for events. Some international travel.

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
