What you'll be doing.
Systems-
- Assist Field Department with administration of McCain/Grower (AgPortal) website.
- Complete and Thorough understanding of SAP and Potato Contract and Receiving Program (PCR), including supporting IS to resolve PCR issues.
- Have a working knowledge of the new GX core + RQI system
- Support Field Department/Regional Agronomy with spending - Coupa support (invoicing, PO reqs, order changes, vendor training, etc.)
Agriculture/Field Department -
- Manage and maintain information entered into Potato Contract and Receiving Program (PCR system). This includes contract template setup at crop year to benefitting vendor payments, seed payments, miscellaneous payments and deductions, down payments, warehouse shrinkage, trucking, etc.
- Track potato usage and inventories in the field and raw potato storage warehouse locations.
- Audit all systems to ensure inventory accuracy, accurate interfacing and for accurate/timely payments.
- Verify dock reports with potato report, including resolution of any issues.
- Work with state/provincial and local authorities to meet contract specifications within grading functionality.
- Conduct lien searches to meet legal requirements for each vendor (where applicable).
- Vendor Master Maintenance --- setup to validation, including one time vendor setup.
- Prepare payment requests and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments to growers, trucking companies and miscellaneous vendors. Validate payment information is interfacing accurately from PC&R to SAP.
- Review and maintain contracts and files. Keep records to be used in calculating grower's payment. As well as, maintain accurate, complete records assuring pesticides, compliances, amendments, inter-company transfers and other required information is included through cooperation with the Field Department.
- Maintain good working relationship with growers resolving payment and contract issues as necessary as well as with contracted trucking company and internal customers.
- Prepare and publish reports on potato procurement and grower accounts as needed.
- Assist Field Manager in contract negotiations
- Assist with support and training for scale clerk position.
- Assist with system testing for all Ag programs.
Finance/Accounting -
- Handle all accounting responsibilities for the raw product being received, transferred, and sold at the plant. Invoice preparation, A/P responsibilities, A/R responsibilities, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare required month end reports for local and corporate business partners.
- Assist with yearly internal audits.
- Assist Field/Ag Finance Managers in budget and forecasting preparation for PT files (data pulls from 5 year crop averages, overhead spends, etc).
- Prepare month end accruals/reclass entry supporting information for Ag Finance Manager
- Prepare potato PPV and spending explanations for Ag Finance Manager
- Prepare inventory/purchase explanations for Field/Ag Finance Manager
- Handle ad-hoc requests from Ag Finance/Field Manager

- Strong technical, analytical, and systems skills (SAP, Microsoft Excel)
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.
- Must be able to investigate complex issues and resolve problems.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
