Nutreco is seeking a Financial Analyst, GL Accounting to join our team in Western Canada!

We're searching for a talented Financial Analyst who excels in General Ledger (GL) Accounting and thrives on transforming data into valuable insights that drive decision-making and fuel our growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Data Collection & Insight Generation: You'll be at the forefront of identifying bottlenecks, efficiencies, and business opportunities. By continuously searching for valuable data sources, you'll enhance our problem analysis, making it more relevant, accurate, and insightful for our business needs.
  • Advice & Strategy: You'll proactively advise colleagues and management on data-driven insights, market developments, and new opportunities, ensuring our teams are well-informed and equipped to make strategic decisions.
  • Planning & Control: You'll support the business through the planning and control cycle, including preparing development plans, annual budgets, and reporting actual results. You'll provide critical financial analysis to keep us on track and perform in-depth analysis of major financial impacts, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Advanced Analytics: You'll conduct and merge complex internal and external analyses, transforming data into valuable information that drives our divisional strategy. Your financial analysis will offer actionable insights that add significant value to the business.
  • Compliance & Professional Development: You'll ensure compliance with corporate policies, particularly in Finance and Administration, and identify areas for improvement to continuously enhance our processes.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation – completed or in progress.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related role where you mastered the use of Excel and Power BI.
  • A strong background in data analysis, financial analytics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • An analytical and proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
