We have an opportunity in our Internal Audit, Joint Venture team!
We are currently seeking a talented Financial Analyst to support joint venture initiatives. You will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on joint ventures

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or certified internal auditor designation.

Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of standard audit processes and experience in their practical application
-
Experience in SAP, Ariba, and Fieldglass and all Microsoft applications

Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-
Strong communication and presentation skills
-
Strong understanding of commercial agreements, compliance, and operator requirements within the agreements
Responsibilities:
-
Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling for joint ventures as per PASC standards

Prepare and present audit updates and reports to management and stakeholders

Assist in hosting auditors on our operated joint venture assets

Monitor the financial performance of joint ventures and determine compliance, areas for improvement and opportunities for cost saving and recovery

Accurately record and control audit documentation

Resolve contract and transaction issues

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for joint venture activities
Location and other Key Details:

This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
-
Travel will be required to different sites depending on audit requirements
