As Manager of Financial Operations, AR, you’ll lead Benevity’s Accounts Receivable team supporting our Partner Foundations, ensuring processes and people deliver excellence and reliability. You’ll drive efficiencies, foster cross-team collaboration, and champion process improvements to enhance financial operations. Skilled in leadership and problem-solving, you’ll guide your team’s performance, offer feedback, and maintain a focus on continuous improvement.
This hybrid role requires working out of our Calgary office; relocation is necessary for candidates outside the area.

What you’ll do:
- Partner across teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency, breaking down barriers to drive progress
- Manage large-scale, cross-functional projects to develop and maintain scalable processes and protocols
- Regularly engage with clients to gather feedback and improve funding and financial operations solutions
- Oversee accounts receivable functions managing $3.5B in donations across 20+ global accounts, including invoicing, cash receipts, journal entries, and collections
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure timely collection of receivables and minimize bad debts
- Collaborate with sales and client success teams to address billing disputes and strengthen customer relationships
- Prepare accurate and timely reports related to accounts receivable for management review
- Conduct regular reviews of receivable aging to identify and address any issues promptly
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts receivable team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline operations and enhance financial performance
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5-7 years of experience in progressively increasing responsibility
- Results-oriented, proactive, and resourceful approach to work
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate goals, requirements and proposed solutions
- Experience and proven skills in identifying and mapping business problems to complex technical/technology solutions
- Commitment to client success and operational excellence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to oversee and resolve diverse issues
- Ability to work independently with strong judgment
- Resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust priorities effectively
- Proficient in the MS Office suite of products
- Team-oriented with a fun-spirit and sense of humor
