Our Finance Operations team is seeking a rockstar Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in the Calgary office. You will be a motivated self-starter with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to get involved where needed. You will be an integral part of the operations team by assisting with all types of client requests that relate to finance, special projects and day to day operational activities while demonstrating attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll do

• Process Payroll donations for some of the largest companies in the world
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in committed payroll
• Documenting processes and job aids
• Report and achieve weekly and monthly payroll processing targets
• Follow/work within our monthly operations cycle
• Ad-hoc client reporting
• Assist with AP/AR entries
• Assist with process improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree (major in Accounting or Finance is nice to have)
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast growth environment
• Strong knowledge of client programs, Spark and our financial processes as a company
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills, both written and verbal and application towards customer service
• Strong people skills as this team member will be working across teams
• Comfortable working in Excel
• A self-starter, and the ability to work independently
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
