About the role: 

The Wealth Planning Specialist at The Cartograph Group creates, analyzes, delivers, and supports custom wealth plans for high net worth clients. They collaborate with team members and engage with clients to address cash flow, retirement, estate, education, insurance, and tax planning needs.

The goal is to use the Wealth Planning Roadmap process to provide clients with a dynamic wealth planning experience. This helps clients, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Senior Relationship Managers make timely adjustments and test scenarios, offering a range of outcomes for informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate directly with current and potential clients concerning all aspects of the Wealth Planning Process, including engagement letters, document requests, wealth questionnaires, follow-up inquiries, and related matters;
  • Create, analyze and strategize Wealth Planning outcomes and follow through on helping client implement to meet stated objectives;
  • Provide timely and dynamic financial planning updates based on the client changing financial circumstances;
  • Establish a continuous, strong relationship with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their current situations, thereby enabling the provision of valuable, proactive planning and strategic advice and solutions;
  • Develop, refine and maintain written systems of all wealth planning activities;
  • Supports team with preparation of materials for client meetings;
  • Create and/or find marketing articles related to Wealth Planning strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and in current good standing;
  • Insurance licensed - Life and A&S;
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial planning, wealth management, and/or risk management experience. Will consider candidates with less experience if educational background demonstrates knowledge in these areas and attitude toward excelling in this field; 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial services, accounting, finance, or similar field of study a benefit but not mandatory;
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized;
  • Strong analytical and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A genuine interest in serving and caring for people;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experienced users of financial planning tools: Naviplan, Conquest etc.
