Role overview

Currently we are accepting spontaneous applications for the position of Video Editor, responsible for pushing creative boundaries by consistently striving to produce non-derivative, original, and bold content for both entertainment and gaming clients. What are we looking for? Our Video Editor has a knack for the following skills:

Communication:

  • Facilitate the creation of video materials by collaborating efficiently with all departments
  • Work closely with our creative team to deliver content that will exceed our client's expectations and meet industry standards

Analytics:

  • Balance and grade color, and mix and level audio within Adobe Premiere
  • Oversee and maintain the content ingest, archive, and storage processes
  • Manage deadlines and project manage effectively

Business:

  • End-to-end video editing of unscripted and scripted content, ensuring alignment with entertainment industry trends
  • Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from creatives and clients
  • Ability to self-manage and organize workloads around tight deadlines
  • Create content as needed for various social media platforms 
  • Organize and effectively manage video footage library
  • Transform existing client creative into assets for DMM case studies and new business opportunities within the entertainment and/or gaming sectors

You'd be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 3+ years experience as a video editor
  • Advanced knowledge of Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder and After Effects as well as 3rd party software
  • Ability to self-manage and organize workloads around tight deadlines
  • Knowledge about different social media and digital video platforms and how videos work on each
  • Proactive, positive team player attitude, with the ability to help guide projects from ingest to delivery
  • Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of editing workflows.
  • A sharp eye for timing with an ability to "wow" both clients and colleagues alike
  • Availability to work between 9am and 6pm PST with flexibility for routine weekend coverage
