The Functional Consultant plays a key role in the successful implementation of Vistex solutions within SAP environments. They collaborate with clients to understand business needs, configure SAP systems accordingly, and support the end-to-end implementation lifecycle. This role involves blueprinting, process mapping, data modeling, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of SAP add-on technologies (solution extensions) on projects in the region
Provide on-site and remote consulting services to Vistex customers implementing Vistex products and solutions
Participate in execution of project deliverables such as blueprint workshops, documentation, specifications, configuration, and testing/training support
Represent complex business processes in SAP SD and MM using solution extensions
Conduct workshops to gather and document business requirements into blueprints
Identify and document all required FRICEW objects (Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows) during project realization
Execute configuration of Vistex solutions
Support integration testing and provide expertise in defect resolution
Participate in post-go-live support including critical care and knowledge transfer
Perform quality assurance on configured systems and prepare documentation for customer support
Learn and gain expertise in current and emerging Vistex product offerings
Conduct system setup, data migration, and integration activities.
Actively contribute to phases including Business Blueprint, Conceptual Design, Realization, Cut-over, Go Live, and Post-production support.
Prepare solution documents such as FUT and SIT.
Conduct integration tests, UAT, and training sessions.
Perform project documentation aligned to milestones.
Mentor associate functional consultants and coordinate deliverables.
Support test processes and maintain testing documentation.
Understand upstream/downstream process impacts including master data, sales, and finance.
Ensure adherence to solution delivery best practices and quality standards.
The compensation for this position is $75k - $100k CAD. Base pay will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills and work experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better. Experience Required SAP Functional Consulting experience, particularly in SAP SD. Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, PPT, Visio) and testing tools Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication, client handling, and documentation skills. Knowledge of ABAP fundamentals, debugging, and enhancement frameworks. Understanding of SAP integration with finance and purchasing. Proficient in SD pricing, OTC processes, and configuration. Strong process knowledge in industries such as Pharma, Retail, or Manufacturing. Proven success in full lifecycle SAP implementations and international rollouts. Willingness and flexibility to travel and work across time zones. Preferred Experience with MM, FI preferred. Experience with Vistex solutions and prior consulting roles in major firms is a plus.
