We are actively seeking a Geoscience Administrator to join our Lloydminster Thermal Geoscience team in our Calgary office. The Geoscience Administrator supports the Lloyd Thermal Geoscience team by maintaining accurate, well-organized geological and geophysical data and ensuring consistency across technical datasets. This role contributes to data management, quality control, and regulatory submissions by keeping technical information current, reliable, and easily accessible, including preparing and submitting government obligations into IRIS to meet reporting requirements.
Essential Functions:
Data Management
Maintain accurate and well-organized geological and geophysical datasets for Lloyd Thermal assets.
Organize, update, and archive well files to ensure information is complete, consistent, and accessible.
Perform routine data quality checks and resolve discrepancies to uphold data integrity.
Technical & Administrative Support
Prepare, format, and organize technical information used in operational workflows.
Assist with compiling data for internal reviews, presentations, and project documentation.
IRIS Submission Support
Assist with preparing and submitting government obligations into IRIS.
Gather required well information, verify accuracy, and ensure submissions meet provincial requirements and deadlines.
Documentation & Records Management
Maintain structured digital records related to wells, projects, and geoscience activities.
Ensure documentation is stored according to internal standards and is easily retrievable by team members.
Qualifications & Competencies:
General understanding of geological or technical data and terminology.
Knowledge of data management practices and quality control principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn new software and geoscience systems as required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GeoScout and IRIS is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education or related training in a technical or administrative field is an asset.
