About the role .
Our Global Finance team is seeking an intern to join for the summer of 2026. (May through August). The position will gain exposure to financial planning and analysis, operations finance, logistics finance, and more. This position will be based out of our Toronto, Ontario, Canada office. At McCain, we work in a hybrid model, with 3 days spent in the office and the option to work the other 2 days remotely. This is an existing vacancy for McCain which is actively seeking to be hired.
What you'll be doing.
  • Preparing monthly regional performance reporting vs. targets and key performance indicators, including the investigation and explanation of performance variances vs. target
  • Performing ad hoc analysis and presentations as required by management and the Senior Leadership team
  • Rebuilding the existing strategic long-term models
  • Developing, analyzing, and adjusting the annual operating budget forecast based on requests from regional management
  • Improving and rebuilding existing financial forecasting files to support more efficient analysis
  • Support teams such as Supply Chain, Marketing and Commercial
  • Collaborate with leadership to translate financial results into business insights
  • Support the shift in focus toward better alignment of financial insights with business objectives
  • Leverage automated Power BI dashboards and reports to analyze trends, drivers and performances
  • Partner with finance leadership on strategic projects with focus on working capital optimization, benchmarking best practices and support processes

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with proven organizational skills
  • Interest in Power BI, automation and data visualization
  • Curious, adaptable and energized by change

About the team .
In this role, the successful individual will partner to support the day-to-day operations of the Global Finance team and will work with a wide variety of other teams in connection to the consolidation of global financials. These teams are essential to McCain's operations and are integral to regional forecasting and planning.

Compensation Package: $23.00 - $26.00 CAD hourly wage equivalent, paid salary.
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
