The opportunity

Driven by a global energy super cycle, Hitachi Energy is entering an exciting phase of growth. Our strategic talent initiatives are recognized as key drivers of our success. Over the next few years, we aim to attract, recruit, upskill, and retain thousands of colleagues.

To achieve this, we are transforming our current Talent & Learning organization, part of Talent & Reward, HR, into three distinct yet interconnected global Talent Centers of Expertise (CoEs): Talent Planning & Acquisition (TPA) CoE, Learning & Development (L&D) CoE, and Talent Management (TM) CoE.

The TM CoE will focus on designing and implementing innovative talent management solutions to align our business and talent strategies.

We are seeking an inspiring Head of Talent Management to provide strategic direction, leadership, and collaboration globally. In this newly created role and reporting to the Head of Talent & Reward, you will develop and drive a global, integrated talent management strategy across key stages of employee lifecycle to foster a high-performance culture through leadership development, career journey development, continuous improvement, diversity, and talent mobility.

How you will make an impact

  • Develop and drive global talent management strategy aligning with business objectives.
  • Create and enhance strategic talent programs for assessments, performance, succession planning, high potential development and talent mobility.
  • Develop a comprehensive career management framework to drive talent mobility through job rotations, stretch assignments, and early talent to leadership tracks.
  • Partner with D&I to cultivate a diverse leadership pipeline.
  • Own strategy, design and execution of competence and leadership assessments and succession planning.
  • Implement a metric-based approach to monitor key talent indicators and produce Board Meeting deliverables.
  • Establish external relationships to incorporate in external perspectives and thought leadership.

Your background

  • Proven strategic, inclusive, and creative talent management in large, global, matrixed organizations.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or Leadership Development.
  • Effective partnership with HR and Talent & Reward CoE for talent program execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex information succinctly to diverse stakeholders, including executives.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and talent management technology.
