As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator with a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards to join our dynamic team.


The HR Coordinator will be responsible for leading the human resource’s function while integrating and managing our workplace health and safety programs. This role supports both office and field operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and OHS regulations across provinces. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in managing people, programs, and risk in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

We would like the successful candidate to be located in either Calgary or the Acheson location.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Manage full-cycle HR including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Alberta and Saskatchewan employment standards.
  • Support management with employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives for employees.

Health & Safety:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide health and safety programs.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS legislation in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Lead safety meetings and deliver toolbox talks when required.
  • Maintain all documentation related to incidents, training, and certifications.
  • Establish a program with the goal to achieve COR and maintain certification.
  • Establish and maintain the OHS Committee.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; experience in construction, signage, or trades preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan Employment Standards and OHS regulations.
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CRSP, NSCO, or equivalent OHS certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to develop and enforce health and safety policies and training.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Proficient with Sharepoint and MS Office.
  • Class 5 licence, reliable vehicle, and a clean drivers abstract.
