The impact you can have 


As Integrated Communications Manager you will report into the VP of Brand and Communications and be part of the Corporate Marketing team. Our team mission is to establish Sonar as the leading, trusted voice and authority on software development and the future of the software development lifecycle.


As an Integrated Communications Manager at Sonar, you will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies across various channels (PR, social media, analyst relations, influencer engagement) aligned to key business objectives. 

You will ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall business objectives, collaborating with different departments to deliver a unified brand voice.


You will focus on increasing Sonar’s brand awareness, monitor brand perception, and analyse communication effectiveness. You will help to build and execute the proliferation of thought leadership platforms for key executives. 


This role is crucial in improving Sonar's public perception, increasing Sonar’s influence, and establishing Sonar and its team as thought leaders in the industry. Additionally, the Integrated Communications Manager plays a vital role in crisis communication, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining Sonar's corporate reputation.


On a daily basis, you will

  • Develop and lead the execution and measurement of comprehensive external communication plans for media, analysts, speaking opportunities, influencer targets, and social properties by target audience 
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of diverse communication materials to support Sonar’s key narratives with traditional and non-traditional influencer targets
  • Expand on key and differentiated points of view for Sonar 
  • Measurement of the effectiveness of communication campaigns
  • Collaboration across marketing teams to ensure aligned activity 
  • Establish and maintain processes for training spokespeople 
  • Manage relationships with key contacts across media, analysts, influencers, etc. 
  • Coordination and support for media activities, including briefings
  • Support for social media activities, including updating copy and content
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications channels, upholding brand guidelines and identity
  • Support and engage in employee and employer brand communication programs to support Sonar’s growth in key regions as a desirable place to work 
  • Support for crisis communications and reputational issues 

The skills you will demonstrate

  • 7+ years of experience in PR or Communications
  • Deep experience with thought leadership platform building and narrative development
  • Strong media relations skills with tech, business, and developer media 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of different communication channels and platforms
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop comprehensive communication plans
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Crisis communication management experience 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful communications strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Autonomous and capable of making informed decisions
  • Team player with a can-do attitude, able to give and receive feedback and share knowledge
