Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is looking for an Intermediate Billing Specialist to support billing operations for Software Solutions. 

Duties include the following: 

  • Provide pre-sales software pricing support to both internal and external stakeholders while providing excellent customer service 

  • Process and tracking orders, client invoicing, revenue recognition and reconciliations while working closely with other billing team members to ensure accuracy 

  • Contribute and support to forecasting sales reports and general reporting needs

  • Develop tools, processes and research information necessary to evolve software operations 

  • Prepare documents, and report implementation status to engagement managers including monthly reporting on key winnings, losses, issues, barriers to success and activities executed 

  • Additional administrative support and participation in special projects as required

Your experience and education 

  • You have completed a college or undergraduate degree

  • You have 2+ years of experience supporting subscription/reoccurring billing operations as an administrator or have held a similar role

  • You are passionate about cloud software technology and have a willingness to learn new technologies 

  • You have meticulous attention to detail and provide great quality of work

  • You have practical knowledge of professional, effective telephone techniques and customer care 

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • You have strong problem solving skills 

  • You enjoy improving and taking ownership of processes 

  • You have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • You are able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and variable workload 

The following are considered an asset: 

  • Experience in a business or finance operations role

  • Experience or willingness to learn Microsoft on premise-based licensing programs (Dynamics, SQL Server, Windows) and software vendors such as eOne Integrated Business Solutions, Insightsoftware, Key2Act, Rockton Software, etc.

  • You have experience supporting on-prem Annual Enhancement Renewals for perpetual software
