Overview of The Role

As a Master Data Migration Specialist at Saputo, you work as part of a team responsible for all organization-wide master data migration activities and play a critical role in ensuring we are allowing the organization to migrate data from legacy solutions to new technologies selected by the organization.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

Reporting to the IT Sr Manager, Master Data Migration and working collaboratively with diverse cross-functional teams, the IT Specialist, Master Data Migration contributes to the execution of all master data migration activities across four major regions who operate on an SAP ERP platform: Canada, USA, Argentina, and Australia. This work includes:

  • Designing, building, and testing data validation and transformation tools by working closely with functional process leads and key users.
  • Enhancing tools to improve data quality standards and accuracy.
  • Preparing relevant documentation related to data extraction, enrichment, transformation, and load.
  • Extracting, reviewing, mapping, cleansing, and constructing data.
  • Making decisions and raising issues to deliver timely outcomes within budget.
  • Reporting status to all relevant stakeholders.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with data transformation activities such as analyzing, profiling, cleansing, and reconciling data loads.
  • Extensive firsthand experience with SAP tools such as Data Services (BODS), LSMW, BAPIs, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, as well as database connectors, FTP and SQL.
  • Experience in the technical deployment of MDM Tools as SAP MDG.
  • Advanced knowledge of data validation and loading techniques using tools such as data exchange and SAP iDocs.
  • Extensive experience in ETL using SAP BODS with respect to SAP Master / Transaction Data Objects in SAP FICO, SAP SD, SAP MM/WM, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Quality Management, EWM, etc.
  • Solid understanding of SAP data models.
  • Hands-on experience using MS Office, Visio, and MS Project.
  • Experience with implementing ERP systems withing complex landscapes with multiple integrations.
  • Ability to gather and document functional requirements to design data migration tools and migrate data.
  • Ability to work with offshore teams and coordinating work delivery between onsite and offshore.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to operate in a complex, challenging environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business functions, geographies, time zones, & language.
  • Ability to work independently ensuring alignment to our IT strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America. 

The following are considered assets:

  • French and/or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • Experience with data modeling, replication, web-services, and custom models.

SALARY RANGE : $88,325 - $115,930

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
