What You Would Do in This Role

The Junior Supplier Quality Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, tracking, communication, and reporting of supplier quality activities. The coordinator supports project execution by ensuring supplier quality activities are scheduled, monitored, documented, and communicated effectively among project teams, suppliers, and third-party inspection agencies. Duties Include:

  • Coordinate supplier quality inspection activities and surveillance schedules
  • Manage inspection notifications and stakeholder communications
  • Facilitate prefabrication meetings, including logistics, scheduling, meeting minutes, and action-item tracking
  • Monitor surveillance activities to ensure compliance with approved inspection assignments
  • Review inspection reports, AILs, certificates, and related quality documentation for completeness and required approvals
  • Track NCRs, RFIs, corrective actions, and project quality action items
  • Follow up with suppliers, inspectors, and project teams to ensure timely closure of outstanding issues
  • Support supplier shop visits and surveillance activities as required
  • Maintain supplier quality KPI trackers, status reports, and inspection logs
  • Assist in the preparation of project and management reporting
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of supplier quality records for project closeout
  • Maintain organized Supplier Quality Control records and databases
  • Performing other duties as requested
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Engineering Technologist certification or post-secondary education in Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, quality coordination, shop inspection, or project administration
  • Ability to meet safety requirements to attend supplier facilities and site visits
  • Manufacturing and shop fabrication experience considered an asset
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and design code requirements including ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ABSA, CSA B51, API, and CWB requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Solid time-management and organizational skills
  • Dependability and reliability
Preferred
  • Professional quality or auditing designation
  • CWB, AWS, or CSWIP Level 1 certification
  • Experience with Aconex, SharePoint, or other document management systems
