As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE SECTOR - NETWORK platform, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on technical and network design concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Minimum 5 years of Cisco network experience within the financial sector
- Proven years of experience in network products and services, working with Cisco routers and switches, Firewalls, proxies and load balancing technologies while actively pursuing further accreditations
- Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols, Expertise spanning TCPIP, LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, IPSec, EIGRP and OSPF is vital.
- Deep understanding of BGP and associated routing policies, Knowledge of multicast concepts, including IGMP, RP, and PIM
- Excellent knowledge of network Packet analysis and Packet Capture tools
- Working knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies
- Understanding multi cloud environments and possessing knowledge of network security, including standard processes
- Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP and multicast
- Proficiency in required Service Management processes with ITIL knowledge
- Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- CCNP/CCIE certification, is highly desirable.
- Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies
