To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $189,000 - $246,750
Zone B: $170,100 - $222,075
Zone C: $157,500 - $205,625
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

As a Lead Product Designer, you'll:
- Design end-to-end experiences that bring the power of AI into the Strategy Collection apps workflow
- Lead end-to-end design for Strategy Collection initiatives: from strategy and discovery to detailed execution, ensuring world-class design from framing the problem to delivery.
- Frame and simplify complex problems, balancing customer, partner, and business needs.
- Mentor designers across the team, providing coaching, critique, and guidance.
- Evolve and scale design systems across Strategy Collection apps and its touchpoints.
- Partner across Atlassian, aligning Strategy Collection with broader ecosystem, platform, and growth priorities.
- Advocate for customers and partners, leveraging data, research, and experimentation.

- Scope & Complexity: Operate at high complexity, ambiguity, and scale. Anticipate challenges across teams and products.
- Influence & Leadership: Influence leaders across disciplines, set design direction, and align strategy.
- Craft Mastery: Deliver design solutions of exceptional quality that scale and raise the bar for the org.
- Coaching & Growth: Mentor, coach, and uplift the design team, contributing to culture and craft maturity.
- Strategic Impact: Define and shape initiatives critical to Atlassian's product and business goals.
- 8-10+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
- High level of craft in interaction, visual, and motion design. You care deeply about the details and inspire others to do the same.
- You have a track record of shipping innovative, user-centered solutions in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. You thrive on collaboration and know how to turn big ideas into real impact.
- Proven ability to lead design for complex, multi-surface products.
- Experience in enterprise saas products is highly valued.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills, with experience driving outcomes across teams and levels.
- Mastery of interaction, visual, and systems design, and comfort working within and evolving design systems.
- A mentorship mindset, with a track record of helping other designers grow.
