The Learning Specialist serves as a bridge between technical solutions and client adoption. Key responsibilities include creating and delivering training materials, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients, and collaborating with Business Analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an experienced communicator who can adapt training approaches for different audiences, manage client relationships, and support change management within organizations. A deep understanding of pension plan administration systems is required.
What You'll Do
  • Organize and/or adapt demonstrations and participate in presentations to existing or prospective clients to ensure they understand the integrated solution;
  • Create and develop training in multiple formats and ensure all training materials are accurate and up-to-date;
  • Lead individual and/or group training activities on our premises or at our clients’ sites;
  • Build and maintain harmonious relationships with clients existing or prospective clients;
  • Write user guides, procedures and reference documents;
  • Identify, record, and document suggestions for improvements made during training activities;
  • Help promote an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual assistance as a member of the team of trainers;
  • Support the quality assurance team, the business analysts and the client support teams when the integrated solution is being installed;
  • Guide the parties involved to ensure that training sessions meet the clients’ needs;
  • Monitor training activities with regard to endeavour, cost and scope, so as to stay within the allotted budget.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years experience as a trainer for internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Available for travel in Canada and the US
  • Solid experience presenting content using Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint and Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead dynamic training sessions and adapt teaching methods to diverse audiences
  • Strong learning agility with enthusiasm for mastering new systems and pension administration concepts
  • Proven resilience under pressure with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Change management experience, with ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption
  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration with technical and business teams
  • Results-oriented with strong project delivery and time management skills
  • Pension, benefits, or insurance industry knowledge is an asset
