Shifts: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Logistics Coordinator I is responsible for leading our inbound, wholesale outbound, e-commerce, and returns departments to ensure the entire morning shifts’ daily production goals are met, providing timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel, and supporting all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.
Essential Functions

  • Overseeing all inbound and wholesale outbound activities including creating and maintaining inbound and outbound schedules and appointments. Ensuring timely communication of shipment status and tracking information to carriers, our transportation team, and within our WMS.
  • Overseeing e-commerce activities, helping the inventory team transfer inventory to and from the e-commerce area and accomplish blocking activities.
  • Leading the forklift driving team from the front, ensuring that their work is being performed safely and to the high standards of Ryder and our customer.
  • Managing the workflow of the returns team to ensure the timely processing of all customer returns and consumer complaints.
  • Performing administrative tasks and assisting the quality team through the organization and completion of zone audits and layer audits, and the inventory team in periodic cycle and wall-to-wall counts.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Waving orders for the afternoon team to ensure they hit the ground running at the start of their shift.
  • Helping create schedules for the morning shift, coordinating time off requests and sharing labor between departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Accountability and showing initiative
  • Leading a safety program by example
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • 5 years or more clerical or warehouse experience is preferred
  • 1 year or more in a leadership role within a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience required

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
