Position Overview:
This is a unique role for a computational scientist or engineer who is passionate about bridging the gap between first-principles physics and modern machine learning. You will champion the development of next-generation hybrid methodologies, introducing techniques that fuse the rigor of first-principles physics (Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)) with the efficiency of deep learning. You are the bridge, the domain expert, and the co-developer who ensures our AI is scientifically sound from the ground up. Your work will form the foundation for our predictive engine that combines the explanatory power of CFD with the speed and scalability of deep learning.

General Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze comprehensive CFD simulation studies to investigate complex fluid
dynamics phenomena, validate product designs, and explore novel physical concepts.
  • Critically analyze clinical data and simulation results to extract meaningful physical insights to inform
    AI strategies and development.
  • Oversee the curation of high-quality datasets derived from clinical data and simulation studies,
ensuring they are well-structured and documented for use in training machine learning models.
  • Partner closely with the core ML engineers and scientists to guide the development of next-generation
hybrid. Your CFD simulation expertise will be an asset in validating and establishing physical
    constraints.
  • Validate simulation results against clinical data and phantom studies to ensure physical accuracy and
    reliability.
  • Write clean, high-performance, and scalable code in C++ and/or Python for our simulation and data
    generation infrastructure.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience running and analyzing complex CFD simulations, from geometry
and mesh preparation to post-processing and interpretation.
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python or C++ for the purpose of scripting, automation, and data
analysis in a scientific computing context.
  • Deep theoretical and practical understanding of fluid dynamics, the Navier-Stokes equations, and
    associated numerical methods.
  • Demonstrated experience in structuring and executing scientific computing projects or simulation-based
    research

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and a desire to work at
    their intersection with physics.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging formats (DICOM) and 3D geometry/mesh processing libraries (e.g.,
    ITK).
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and hemodynamics.

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computational
    Science, or equivalent.

About the Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and vacation
  • Transportation allowance
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Employee Wellness Program
  • Professional development and tuition reimbursement program
  • Gratifying internal recognition/kudos programs
  • Annual salary review – based on company and individual performance
  • Fun, inclusive, ego-free environment where diversity and individual thoughts are encouraged and valued
