The Manager, Cybersecurity Technology & Controls leads the delivery and operation of enterprise security technologies that protect critical infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. This role combines people leadership with deep technical expertise to ensure security platforms, controls, and monitoring capabilities effectively reduce cyber risk and support business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for enterprise security platforms and tooling

  • Oversee the lifecycle, configuration, and operation of security technologies such as email security, EDR, cloud security, and identity-related controls

  • Manage security operations platforms including SIEM, SOAR, and enterprise logging and telemetry solutions

  • Provide technical leadership on security architecture, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Partner with IT, cloud, application, and security operations teams to deliver integrated security solutions

  • Establish operational standards, service expectations, and vendor performance oversight to ensure reliability and compliance

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, including at least 5 years in an IT security or cybersecurity function

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Systems, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience leading technical teams and working with managed service providers

  • Strong expertise in enterprise security platforms, monitoring technologies, and cybersecurity controls

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical risks into clear insights for senior and non-technical stakeholders

  • CISSP or comparable cybersecurity certification; experience in regulated or energy-sector environments is an asset

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone
