Your Opportunity
BDO Canada is looking for a Manager, Dayforce Integration Development / Technical Consulting to join our Dayforce Practice. The individual will own the following responsibilities:

Act as a trusted advisor to external clients and BDO project teams in implementing Dayforce

Participate in all phases of the Dayforce implementation including Discovery, Configuration, Testing, Go-live and Post Go-Live
-
On-going mentoring and coaching of the technical team including of performance management and career guidance
-
Monitor utilization and skill levels of technical team members and provide input to project assignment decisions
-
Organize and lead technical team meetings at least once per month (meeting invites, agenda, etc.)
-
Stay on top of new Dayforce product releases, updates and maintenance alerts
-
Encourage project feedback presentations by other members to stimulate learning
-
Own tools, collaterals and standard procedures developed by the team
-
Responsible for quality-assurance of technical team deliverables
-
Collect, design and document, develop, test and deploy technical integrations utilizing XML/XSLT
-
Assist clients with populating, loading and validating data conversion templates for HR, Payroll, Benefits and other related data elements

Provide internal status updates, noting issues/risks with recommended resolution to Green
-
Manage multiple client/project engagements simultaneously
-
Identify best practices/lessons learned & document/share internally & with Ceridian
-
Complete new release training as needed & be our expert on Ceridian Dayforce

Your experience and education
-
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience working with Dayforce or similar HCM platforms.
-
At least 3–5 years of experience in designing, developing, managing, and troubleshooting HCM integrations.
-
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a leadership role managing technical teams, preferably within an HCM consulting or implementation environment.
-
Strong functional knowledge of Dayforce (or other HCM) modules, such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Workforce Management, and Talent Management.
-
Knowledge of industry best practices in human capital management.
-
Proficiency in designing and managing integrations between Dayforce (or another HCM) and other systems (e.g., ERP, third-party applications).

Experience with file-based integrations using XML, XSLT, CSV
-
Asset: Familiarity with integration tools and technologies such as APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and middleware
-
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to Dayforce configurations and integrations.

Asset: Proficiency in Dayforce reporting tools and ability to create insightful dashboards and reports.

Understanding of SQL for querying data related to Dayforce HCM.

Familiarity with quality-assurance processes, including testing strategies, peer reviews, and documentation.

Proven ability to organize and lead professional forums, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Strong skills in preparing agendas, moderating discussions, and following up on actionable items.

Experience promoting a collaborative learning environment through presentations, feedback sessions, and documentation.

Monitoring team utilization and assigning resources based on skills, availability, and project requirements.

Providing mentorship and upskilling opportunities for team members.
-
Track record of maintaining and improving standard procedures, tools, and collaterals.
-
Ensuring consistent application of best practices across the team.
