The Manager, Operations & Engineering Data Products is responsible for building and executing data strategies that drive decision making, enable actionable business insights, and scales data capabilities for our operations and engineering departments. The successful candidate will lead a team of data professionals and developers in a fast-paced, agile environment, ensuring our data ecosystem evolves with new products, services, and business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement technical analytics solutions that target organizational opportunities and challenges for operations & engineering.
Design and enable data & analytics strategies that align with company objectives and industry trends.
Establish and maintain data warehouses/lakes/lakehouses/hubs for storing, analyzing and accessing large volumes of data.
Create and uphold dashboards to cater to evolving reporting needs
Propel data science initiatives by utilizing artificial intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to predict trends and metrics, evaluate risks and continuously improve processes.
Oversee reporting infrastructure, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of operational metrics and performance insights.
Ensures that technical and process architectures (application and information) support core business functions.
Turn data into actionable insights that inform strategy and drive profitable growth.
Design and deliver scalable data products and integrations as new services roll out.
Lead a talented group of data engineers, analysts, and developers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Collaborate with senior leaders to identify opportunities and deliver measurable outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
A bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, data management, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
Experience
A minimum of five years of work experience as a leader or manager working in business analytics, data science, or a related field.
Technical Skills
Proven track record of technical delivery in data and analytics
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, with expert proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Understanding of the overall architectures of cloud data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS Databricks) and analytics platforms.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to map out projects and processes end-to-end.
Understanding of Profit & Loss drivers, with the ability to summarize large amounts of data to influence business decision-making
Ability to quickly assimilate subject matter expertise and apply business context to highlight quality analytics and insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Leadership Skills

Proven ability to demonstrate empathy and lead team dynamics effectively.
