The Opportunity 

Our Commercial Marketing Analytics team is expanding to support the growth of our non-regulated Natural Gas and Power business. We are seeking a strategic leader to manage a team of analysts responsible for delivering fundamental insights and structuring solutions that drive trading and origination success. This role combines deep market expertise with leadership in building analytical frameworks and commercial strategies for power and gas markets.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts focused on power fundamentals and structuring.
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact analysis.
  • Oversee medium-to-long-term analysis of North American power and gas supply/demand fundamentals.
  • Guide the development of forward views on prices and market dynamics using advanced modeling tools.
  • Partner with trading and origination desks to design structured products and optimize deal economics.
  • Provide actionable recommendations that enhance portfolio value and manage risk.
  • Ensure robust modeling frameworks (production cost, capacity expansion, dispatch models) are maintained and improved.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics, programming, and visualization tools (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Work closely with Trading, Risk, Finance, and IT to align analytics with business objectives.
  • Represent the team in strategy discussions and industry forums.
  • Monitor third-party data quality and model assumptions to mitigate risk.
  • Establish best practices for data management and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in energy markets with a focus on power and/or gas fundamentals.
  • Proven leadership experience managing analytical teams.
  • Strong understanding of North American power and gas markets, including transmission, generation, and regulatory drivers.
  • Expertise in structuring transactions and economic analysis.
  • Advanced skills in programming (Python, R, SQL) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
