The Market Analyst plays a key role in evaluating telecommunications market opportunities by integrating demographic, structural, and industry data. Reporting to the Data Architect, this position works closely with leadership to identify areas for network expansion and business growth. The role involves responding to requests from departments across the organization to develop reports, maps, and dashboards that bring together diverse data sources using data science best practices. A core responsibility includes maintaining and refining our Total Addressable Market (TAM) analysis through large-scale spatial data processing and visualization, using tools like ESRI and Alteryx.



We are a small, highly efficient team that values clarity, speed, and smart workflows—we focus on getting results without unnecessary complexity. This is a high-learning-curve role, ideal for someone who is self-driven, analytical, and eager to grow. Some experience with ArcGIS Pro is required, but we’re open to recent college graduates who can demonstrate motivation, aptitude, and a strong willingness to learn quickly. Essential Job Functions:


· Maintains organization while managing large analytical models and multiple concurrent processes


· Prepares data inputs, executes models using ESRI Model Builder, Python, and Alteryx, and compiles outputs into larger databases and summary reports


· Integrates data from multiple sources into GIS databases to perform market analysis


· Sources and analyzes publicly available data; evaluates and procures commercial datasets as needed


· Configures GIS databases to align with operational and analytical business needs


· Communicates results through clear visualizations, written reports, and verbal presentations


· Maintains and catalogs analytical outputs for future access by other departments


· Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


· Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro


· Experience with additional GIS tools such as QGIS and Google Earth


· Strong ability to apply data science and analytics techniques to GIS and other datasets, blending sources for insightful reporting


· Takes thorough notes and quickly applies new concepts and training


· Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed


· Stays focused and detail-oriented when working through complex tasks


· Skilled at conducting research and locating relevant data online to support analysis


· Understanding of core business process concepts


· Comfortable managing and working with large, complex datasets


· Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving


· Capable of working independently and taking initiative


· Highly organized with strong attention to documentation, naming conventions, and file structure


· Effective at building relationships and collaborating across teams


· Eager and able to learn new software tools and troubleshoot technical issues


· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Desired Experience and Skills:


· Previous work in telecommunications sector


· Demographic analysis


· Marketing / business analysis


· Statistical data analysis


· Development and/or support of APIs


Education and Experience:


· Education: 4 year degree


· 1-3 years of experience is preferred, but not required
