Purpose and Impact

  

  

The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support for the Western Marketing team while driving social media execution for assigned brands. This role plays a key part in strengthening brand presence, increasing engagement, and supporting regional marketing initiatives through creative content and operational excellence. This is a contract position, anticipated to run from September 2026 through approximately January 2028.

Responsibilities 

Social Media & Digital Engagement 

  • Plan and execute regional social media calendars, including quarterly reporting on performance and trends 
  • Create engaging content, promotions, and contests to grow brand awareness and audience engagement 
  • Identify and implement new ways to increase consumer engagement through digital channels 

Marketing Coordination & Brand Support 

  • Support regional brand managers with New Product Development projects and cross-functional coordination 
  • Assist the Wild Rose Taproom with marketing requests, including promotional materials and online communication 
  • Liaise with photographers, videographers, and external agencies to support marketing initiatives 

Administrative & Operational Support 

  • Process invoices, create requisitions, and manage purchase order (P.O.) tracking for the regional team 
  • Track sponsorship requests, coordinate approvals, and manage order placement and delivery 
  • Provide centralized administrative support to the Marketing team, including correspondence and presentations 

Events & Communications 

  • Assist with development and distribution of event-related materials 
  • Attend and support events to capture content for social media and marketing use 
  • Prepare internal communications such as memos, letters, and agreements as required 

 

Skills and Qualifications (Required) 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field 
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, business, or a related discipline 
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail 
  • Experience managing professional social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours aligned with organizational values 

 

Work Environment (Hybrid/Onsite) 
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, combining in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. Occasional travel and overtime may be required to support events and business needs.
