Title: Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Location: Calgary, AB

If you love playing with words, creating designs, and also enjoy a good-looking project plan with a beautiful workback schedule, then our Marketing & Communications Coordinator role might be exactly what you're searching for.
You'll be the execution engine for our marketing team, jumping between event support, client partnerships, content creation, design, and day-to-day project work. One day you're at an event capturing content, the next you're designing a sales deck or writing a blog post. You’ll play a role in every marketing effort we bring to life.

What You’ll Do:
Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Work with Marketing & Communications Manager to execute on Showpass social media strategy
- Manage, run, create and optimize content for all Showpass social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- Develop short-form videos: IG Reels, Stories, TikTok content
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with community interactions and comments
Email Marketing & Community Engagement
- Develop and manage customer newsletters and email campaigns to help elevate things to do on Showpass, driving ticket sales
- Oversee Google reviews, capture fan experiences, stories, and testimonials
- Media monitoring and tracking
Event Support & Content Capture
- Attend Showpass partner events to capture photos and videos for future marketing use
- Plan and create content to support marketing campaigns tied to events
- Assist with in-person marketing promotions and team events
- Represent Showpass at local activations and community events
Web & Design
- Assist with Webflow updates, landing pages
- Create sale assets, promotional materials, graphics for emails, social, and promotional materials (Canva/Adobe Suite)
- Create marketing materials that are as effective as they are beautiful and build brand consistency so that every touchpoint is unmistakably Showpass
- Help design impactful campaigns related to events, sponsorships, and sales initiatives
Client & Sponsorship Support
- Manage sponsorship fulfillment and deliverables
- Coordinate client communications and partnership activities
- Support campaign activation and marketing communications
- Coordinate promotional items and vendor relationships
Project Coordination & Operations
- Support all marketing team initiatives and campaigns
- Manage marketing calendar and scheduling
- Track and report on campaign performance
- Assist with marketing automation and CRM data entry
What You Bring:
- 1-3 years in marketing, communications, social media management, or related role
- Social media expertise with proven experience managing multiple platforms and creating engaging content
- Comfortable writing, designing, filming, and editing content (video and photo)
- Ability to write compelling copy for marketing materials, campaigns, and communications that is on-brand, error-free, and impactful
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Design skills (Canva minimum, Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with the following tools:
- Social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Later, or similar)
- Email marketing platforms (Dotdigital, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Website CMS (WordPress, Webflow, or similar)
- Basic video editing and content creation tools (Capcut etc.)
- Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to scale content creation and work more efficiently
- Ability to translate ambiguous problems into defined action plans with measurable outcomes
- Self-learner who takes initiative and seeks growth opportunities
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Availability for evening and weekend work/event on-sites as required
- Occasional travel may be required
Bonus Points:
- Event tech or live events industry experience
- Advanced video editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Photography skills with equipment
- Experience creating content at live events
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Bilingual (English/French)
