Marketing Manager - Western Region

Wolseley Canada is hiring a Marketing Manager to support regional marketing and sales enablement initiatives in Western Canada. In this strategic role, you will partner closely with regional leadership, sales teams and strategic vendors to develop and execute customer-focused marketing programs that drive growth. You will lead a wide range of initiatives across promotions, events, digital marketing, content creation and sales enablement, ensuring customer needs and business objectives remain at the forefront.

What you will do:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute regional marketing strategies focused on existing customer growth and new customer acquisition.
  • Identify customer opportunities and translate business needs into actionable marketing plans.
  • Assess market conditions and proactively adjust marketing activities to maintain competitiveness.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with regional leadership, sales teams, and suppliers to support business plans and growth strategies.
  • Partner with the Corporate Centre of Excellence (CoE) to create integrated marketing materials including print collateral, digital content, email campaigns, social media, merchandising, and signage.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales to identify tools, training and in-store assets (POP, signage, etc.) to enhance customer engagement.

Program Execution

  • Lead end‑to‑end execution of marketing initiatives such as promotions, customer events, advertising, email marketing, social media, and content development.
  • Partner with regional leadership to leverage vendor marketing funds to support promotional programs and regional business opportunities.
  • Ensure brand standards, corporate identity, and value propositions are consistently applied across all regional touchpoints.

Measurement & Communication

  • Measure, review, and report on promotional activity performance, marketing KPIs, and budget utilization.
  • Maintain clear internal communication with sales teams regarding marketing initiatives and available assets.
  • Prepare and present monthly marketing reviews for assigned regional leadership and contribute to broader marketing team updates.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; equivalent marketing experience considered.
  • 7–10 years of marketing experience, ideally with industry background in HVAC, plumbing, construction, distribution, or related sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate business needs into compelling marketing assets.
  • Demonstrated experience using marketing analytics tools and CRM platforms to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and independently with minimal direction.
  • High attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI).
  • On-site requirement: 3 days per week at the office in Calgary (preferred) or Edmonton.
  • Occasional travel required to support business activities.
