Job Description

Overview:

The Marketing Specialist, Communities reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Communities in Edmonton, and is responsible for managing marketing initiatives and programs. This role involves carrying out marketing activities related to community experiences, event planning and coordination, campaign management, content administration, digital strategy, community websites, and email marketing. The Marketing Specialist works alongside internal teams and external partners in the Edmonton region. They make sure marketing programs are delivered accurately, punctually, and efficiently while aligning with the broader marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor marketing campaigns, employing consumer insight data to support effective delivery.

  • Lead advertising and communications initiatives to promote attendance for events.

  • Coordinate campaign creative with advertising agencies; proof materials, ensure campaigns remain within budget, and maintain accurate messaging.

  • Collect market insights from sales teams to ensure campaigns reflect current market needs.

  • Support monthly reporting and tracking of campaign performance metrics.

  • Support the execution of the annual marketing strategy through coordinated campaign delivery.

  • Work closely with builder marketing teams to confirm that community details are accurate and current.

  • Gather customer testimonials for use across marketing activations and communications.

  • Collect and develop content that highlights community amenities and offerings.

  • Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Support the development and publishing of community blogs and storytelling content.

  • Build video and photography assets to support community promotion.

  • Complete email marketing strategies by developing engaging content and tracking performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with the social media team by providing content that improves community stories.

  • Serve as a HubSpot superuser by crafting lists and deploying email marketing campaigns.

  • Maintain community website content, incorporating SEO guidelines.

  • Coordinate and refresh HubSpot landing pages to support lead generation campaigns.

  • Ensure active campaigns are reflected across all digital channels consistently.

  • Support community events by setting up digital tools to improve engagement.

  • Plan and complete community events and onsite experiences, including post-event reporting.

  • Coordinate with Resident Association teams and partners to support community experiences.

  • Build and implement onsite signage plans to improve wayfinding.

  • Develop and distribute community collateral to support builder sales centres.

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure communities align with brand standards.

  • Provide onsite support during community events as the need arises.

  • Support monthly and quarterly marketing reporting.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, annual budgets, media plans, and marketing schedules.

  • Coordinate invoice processing and support budget tracking and reporting.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of general Marketing experience with a Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business or Public Relations, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong computer application skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new programs quickly.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Previous experience in the real estate industry is an asset.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.

  • Outstanding project management skills and proven marketing principles experience.

  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skills.
