We're looking for a Mechanical EIT! 

The HIDI Group is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm with over 150 professionals across Toronto, Ottawa, and Calgary. What You'll Do

  • Assist in the design of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other project disciplines.
  • Participate in client meetings, design coordination meetings, and site reviews.
  • Perform site investigations and assist with documenting existing conditions.
  • Review shop drawings and support construction administration activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and HIDI design practices.
  • Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable building design solutions.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered (or eligible to register) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Revit is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative attitude and a desire to learn from experienced professionals.
  • Knowledge of mechanical building systems is considered an asset.
