Salary range (but not limited to):

109,900 - 134,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We’re looking for a National Manager to join our Learning & Development team!

Fuel capability, performance, and engagement by delivering modern, data-driven learning experiences that scale across Intact Insurance. As a hands-on people leader reporting to the Director, Learning & Development, you will elevate facilitation excellence, modernize our practices, and translate business needs into measurable learning outcomes. The successful candidate will oversee all Training Consultant activities. This includes working with key stakeholders to ensure that each training session offers an optimal learning experience for participants, updating and adjusting facilitation strategies or materials as needed, creating storyboards for eLearning development, and supporting the enhancement of Learning & Development skills within the department.

The Manager, Learning & Development will need to work together with colleagues and stakeholders across the country on national, highly strategic projects, partnering in the implementation of new initiatives and efforts that impact various business units at Intact.

Work location: This is a national team and you have the opportunity to work out of any location in Canada. Ability to travel is a requirement.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference : 

  • Manage a team of professionals consisting of unit managers, specialists and senior consultants. Plan and organize with them the objectives, their responsibilities, offer coaching and mentoring, evaluate their performance, support engagement, support their professional development and their career path. 

  • Act as an agent of change by identifying opportunities to improve our processes and procedures.  

  • Establish key performance indicators for your team and various initiatives, follow them and adjust them according to business needs. 

  • Update and implement adapted training utilizing project management strategies in collaboration with learning strategists:  vision, content, development, deployment, support for learning and transfer, and sustainable retention measure. 

 

What you bring to the table : 

  • Post-secondary education or professional certification in Learning and Development, Adult Education or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience (training, quality, operations) with at least 5 years of leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of trends in facilitation, content and curriculum development and project management.

  • You are a trusted colleague and are recognized for your leadership, your ability to influence, coach and positively engage your team and business partners.

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, and are accustomed to working collaboratively with other leaders and teams.

  • You have a strategic vision of training and change management for a large organization. 

  • You demonstrate a great ability to challenge the status quo and to be creative and innovative.

  • You have proven achievements in continuous improvement and work methodology.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of agile management is considered an asset. 

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English/French) is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • For candidates located in other provinces, bilingualism (English/French) is an asset considering the need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
