Voltage Park is seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. 

As an early hire, you’ll also have outsized influence in defining the company’s culture and ensuring mission success. This is a remote role, with occasional travel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement network and service activation automation to support AI infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy automated solutions.

  • Monitor and maintain automation systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in a timely manner.

  • Implement cloud security measures to protect automated systems.

  • Utilize virtualization technologies for automation processes.

  • Create and maintain Ansible scripts for automation tasks.

  • Provide network support and configure firewalls as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of contemporary networking technologies such as IP Clos, VXLAN, EVPN, and multi-tiered data center architectures.

  • Deep understanding and experience with network automation frameworks, specifically Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or other.

  • Deep experience leveraging automation tools and platforms, including Nautobot/Netbox or other database-driven Sources of Truth.

  • Very strong experience with Python, Rust, Go, or other development language, as well as Vendor-supplied automation environments such as Arista CloudVision or Juniper Apstra.

  • Strong experience using Netconf and Restful APIs to effect changes to a production network environment in near-real time.

  • Understand full-stack architectures inclusive of Customer-driven workflows, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD deployment models, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Network Orchestration & Automation, Sources of Truth, Network Observability and Telemetry, and knowing how open source can lead or compliment a given architecture.

  • Works closely with SRE and Development teams to propose and develop code for integrated Operations environments, with a key focus on composable and re-usable code. 

  • Works with fellow Engineers to build automation designs, including developing a tech stack, developing proper levels of abstraction, and guidance on best practices.

  • Performs peer reviews, guidance, and contributes to best practices of code

  • Develops well-written technical documentation that documents solutions.

  • As with all members of the Network Engineering team, the Network Automation Engineer will participate in an On-call rotation.

Compensation Range: $120K - $160K
