The Role: Network Administration

This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting all PC-based systems hardware and software across CWES sites, including proprietary and corporate IT systems. The position plays a key role in ensuring operational readiness during exercises and maintenance periods, both on-site and in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer proprietary systems and Windows, Linux, and Android application software
  • Maintain, repair, upgrade, update, archive/restore proprietary systems
  • Install, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure
  • Maintain and rectify Windows servers, workstations, laptops, and peripherals
  • Install hardware including physical servers and network appliances in rack environments
  • Maintain COTS and bespoke applications
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory Servers
  • Enforce corporate and site security policies
  • Remote assistance for all sites

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent work experience
  • Certifications: Windows Server 2012+, A+, CCNA or Network, VMware 6.0+
  • Proven experience with 4G/LTE systems, Cisco and HP routers,
  •  switches, and firewalls
  • Strong fault-finding and system recovery skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and line diagrams
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and able to adapt to short-notice changes
  • Physically capable of lifting/carrying 50lbs and working in varied environments
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
  • Ability to acquire a security clearance - Canadian permanent resident or Citizen
  • Must have proof of right to work in Canada and pass a Canadian security background check
  • 3-month probationary period applies

Cubic Pay Range:

$1.00 - $1.00 + benefits.
