About the role:
As our Onboarding Specialist, you'll be the friendly guide leading our amazing new partners and employers from a successful sale right through to launch, managing all implementation steps from technical configuration to account readiness. You’ll work closely with both groups to understand their payroll environment, complete setup requirements dependent on payroll platform, and validate reliability and functionality through testing.
You will lead partners and employers through implementation, coordinating operational tasks such as technical set up via our internal tools and systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Partner Sales Product, Engineering, Finance, and Client Success to troubleshoot issues and ensure all requirements are met for activation and launch. You play a critical role in creating a seamless, timely implementation experience that sets partners and employers up for long-term success.
Your impact:
Own the end-to-end onboarding technical process for new partners and clients, ensuring a timely, accurate, and positive experience.
Manage the onboarding schedule, maintain clear timelines, and communicate proactively with partners, clients, and internal teams.
Facilitate live onboarding meetings, walking clients through Employer Connect, key workflows, and feature capabilities.
Complete technical configuration for various payroll platforms, including data mapping, connection validation, and integration testing.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Partner Sales, Client Success, and Product to troubleshoot and resolve onboarding related issues.
Provide clear guidance on employer resources, including payroll setup, reporting tools, and employee communications.
Process any partner or client ZayZoon branded resource orders, coordinating deliverability and ensuring they receive materials on time.
Maintain documentation, status updates, and accurate records throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and enhance both groups' experiences.
You bring:
3+ years of experience in onboarding, client implementation, customer success, or a similar role within a SaaS or tech-enabled environment.
Familiarity with technical setups, integrations, or configuring system connections.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding projects at once.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident leading client-facing meetings.
Problem solver with the ability to diagnose issues, coordinate with teams, and drive resolution.
High attention to detail and comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

We care a lot about employee experience and pay is a big part of that. We’re currently on a journey toward internal pay transparency, with that work wrapping up by the end of Q1. We’re focused on doing this thoughtfully, starting with the people who make ZayZoon what it is. Being more transparent with folks outside the company than with our own team wouldn’t feel right so we’re intentionally completing this important internal work first.
