In this field-based role, you will shape priorities across Western Canada and build the strategic partnerships that help appropriate patients access the right therapy at the right time.

You will join a focused oncology team working at the intersection of evidence, access and execution. Using your scientific credibility and business acumen, you will identify barriers across the patient pathway, co-create solutions with care teams and drive high-quality launches and indication expansions. How will you use data, relationships and disciplined planning to deliver measurable impact for customers and patients across AB, SK and MB?

Accountabilities:

  • Scientific and Customer Engagement: Earn trust with oncologists, urologists, gynecologic oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, pathologists and administrators by delivering accurate, relevant and compliant scientific exchange that informs appropriate clinical action.
  • Omnichannel Excellence: Design and execute a tailored mix of high-value in-person interactions and appropriate digital and virtual touchpoints to maximize relevance and follow-through.
  • Patient Pathway and Launch Execution: Identify barriers across diagnosis, biomarker testing, referral, treatment and access; partner cross-functionally to develop compliant solutions; execute launches and indication expansions with pace and quality.
  • Field Insights to Strategy: Continuously gather and synthesize field insights to strengthen brand strategy, refine customer experience and improve future execution.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate account strategies with Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Diagnostics, Analytics and other field partners to create clarity, avoid duplication and accelerate progress in shared accounts.
  • Operational Rigor: Use CRM, analytics and digital tools consistently to enhance planning, execution and insight quality; manage territory resources responsibly and maintain accurate, timely records.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Uphold applicable laws, industry codes and company policies; report adverse events and product quality complaints promptly; ensure a safe and professional approach to travel and engagements.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Strong scientific and clinical learning agility, with the ability to communicate complex evidence clearly and appropriately.
  • Proven strategic account-planning capability, including the use of data, insights, stakeholder mapping and patient-pathway analysis to drive measurable action.
  • A consistent record of building credible customer relationships, influencing without authority and navigating complex healthcare environments.

  • Ability to work independently across a large geography while contributing actively to a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Comfort using CRM, analytics, virtual-engagement and digital tools to enhance customer experience and territory effectiveness.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory, including overnight travel.

  • Institutional account management across academic centres and community networks

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
