What You Will Do:

  • Serve as LP’s go-to Operational Data expert, translating business needs into clear data requirements and solutions.

  • Own the LP Operational Data user experience, ensuring users can easily find, access, and trust operational insights.

  • Function as a critical line of defense by monitoring the health, accuracy, and reliability of LP’s Operational data.

  • Drive delivery by working closely with business users, data stewards, and IT/data teams to eliminate obstacles and ensure Operational Data improvements are achieved and maintained.

  • Translate business requirements into actionable Operational Data solutions that align with LP’s priorities and business needs.

  • Ensure Operational Data is effectively coordinated within business workflows, systems, and processes so that insights naturally flow into day-to-day operations.

  • Represent LP’s Operational Data needs with central data platform teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and technical requirements.

  • Develop and promote reusable templates, processes, and data products that deliver timely, consistent Operational Data insights across the organization.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related discipline

  • Over 7 years of experience in managing operational data, tools, and technologies.

  • Strong business analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of Enbridge Liquids Pipelines system and operations as well as business processes.

  • Deep understanding of the impact of Operational Data on business processes and outcomes.

  • Facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving different points of view and requirements during cross-team efforts.

  • Ability to persuade colleagues and direct reports to endorse the adoption of data governance policies.

  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical and business terminology to all levels within the organization.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms, including Collibra.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with extensive computer work.

  • Occasional travel to field offices, business offices, or conferences within Canada and the US.
