WHAT’S THE TEAM LIKE

The Terminal Operations team sits at the heart of the airport experience, collaborating with internal teams, tenants, airlines, and partners across the airport community to deliver a smooth, memorable journey for every passenger. From shaping long‑term operational strategies to keeping pace with the airport’s daily rhythm, this team balances big‑picture thinking with real‑time action — managing programs, responding to events, and solving challenges as they arise. Their work directly influences the success of each day’s operations and supports YYC Calgary Airport’s reputation as one of Canada’s leading airports.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide operational coordination for major terminal and infrastructure projects, ensuring project activities align with safety requirements, terminal operations, and passenger needs.

  • Track project actions, decisions, risks, issues, and operational readiness requirements; escalate conflicts and follow through on assigned items to closure.
  • Develop operational documentation, stakeholder notices, passenger communications, temporary wayfinding, and contingency measures for construction phases, cutovers, and irregular operations.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover activities to confirm new or modified spaces, systems, and processes are ready for operational use.
  • Assess project outcomes and current practices to recommend improvements that strengthen operational efficiency, passenger flow, and the terminal experience.
