Job Purpose:

The Operations Coordinator is primarily office based and responsible for coordinating customer needs, scheduling employees for job based on competency levels, coordinating equipment for jobs, managing inventory levels, etc. These positions are in larger segments/businesses, where Operations Managers oversee several product lines. This position does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for total operations performance and to plan, coordinate, control and execute the installation of equipment at the Weatherford facility in-line with company and client company policies, procedures and systems, Statutory Regulations and good industry practice. 

  • Minimum oversees a process or a business activity that require regular monitoring of work activity; assigning and/or delegating individuals to schedules; moving assets / resources, administering policies and/or procedures across staff areas; interacting with multiple parties to organize activities / people. 

  • Compiles reports concerning progress of work and utilization of machines and equipment.

  • Has responsibility for communication between the customer and operations. 

  • Dispatch crews and/or equipment for job assignments and coordinate repair and maintenance of equipment with operations. 

  • Assess needs of customers and makes recommendations involving appropriate solution. 

  • Oversees and coordinates efforts of shop staff in preparation of equipment and/or ensuring operators are appropriately equipped and educated for job assignment. 

  • May be assigned key accounts for a specific geographic area and may provide guidance to less experienced Customer Service Representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience in operations
  • Experience in the execution of day-to-day operations and product related projects
  • 2+ years P&L experience

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Product Line and technical job planning requirements
  • Good understanding of Engineering, Service Quality and Sales
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations, balancing both client and business expectations
  • Knowledge of company's business practices including strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, Health Safety and Environmental (HS&E) and compliance
  • Ability to accurately assess, solve, implement, and communicate solutions to problems
  • Understanding of continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage, develop and coach teams across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization
  • Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, negotiating, influencing and planning skills
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational and effective communication skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Intermediate knowledge of JDE, Hyperion, TapRoot, PeopleSoft, Salesforce systems and FieldFX (where applicable)
  • Fluent in English
