This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Calix is looking for an Integration Engineer Intern to join our IT Team for the summer months. You will be part of a unique and award-winning program within the company which provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.
In this role, you will work in a collaborative team environment to enhance and expand the capabilities of the Integrations running on Oracle Integration Cloud. The results of your work will be used across the cloud organization for improved productivity, integrations and analysis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Partner with Integration SMEs to analyze current interfaces with Salesforce (SFDC), Oracle ERP and Oracle SCM to document, enhance and conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality.
- Create the required accompanying technical documentation.
- Add features to existing integrations and apply performance tunings and enhance the integrations to run faster.
- Participate in daily scrum and technical discussions within cloud group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team.
- Support test strategy and automation in both end-to-end solution and functional testing.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preference will be given to students who have completed their Junior or Senior years and who have previous internship or work experience
- Familiar with Integration tools such as SOA or Oracle Integration Cloud or any of the other Middleware Integration Systems.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java / Python
- Understanding of ERP and Supply Chain Systems.
- Good querying skills on Oracle database with ability to understand and debug PL/SQL Queries and procedures
- Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiar with source control applications such as GIT.
- Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September)

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:
23.00 - 29.90 USD Hourly
All Other Locations:
20.00 - 26.00 USD Hourly
